Privacy Policy

The Soda Blonde Members Club ("we", "us") is operated for fans of the band Soda Blonde. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app or website, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Account details: your email address and the display name you choose. These are required to create and sign in to your account.

Profile content: an optional profile photo, bio, and other details you choose to add to your account.

Forum and community content: threads, replies, and likes you post in the member forum. Other members can see your display name, photo, and posts.

Payment information: when you subscribe, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and stores your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer/subscription IDs so we can manage your access.

Usage information: things like which posts you've liked and your playback position in the podcast, so the app can pick up where you left off.

To create and secure your account, and to verify your membership or patron status.

To show your name and photo to other members where you post content (e.g. the forum).

To send you account-related email — confirming sign-up, password resets, and similar transactional messages — via our email provider, Resend.

To provide customer support when you contact us.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not show third-party ads in the app. We do not sell or share your personal information with data brokers or advertisers.

We use a small number of service providers to run the Members Club, each of whom processes data on our behalf:

Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.

Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions.

Resend — delivers transactional emails.

Mux — hosts and streams video content.

These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your membership, we retain your account and billing records for as long as reasonably necessary for accounting and legal purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to export a copy of it, by contacting us using the details below. If you are in the UK or EU, you have these rights under data protection law; we aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.

The Members Club is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let members know via the app or by email.
